Love Story: How I Prepare Couple Photoshoots

Love story is one of my favorite formats. It's not a performance — it's the story of your relationship. The session lasts 2–3 hours, and it's important to capture genuine emotion. Here's how I approach it and what I recommend to couples.

How We Choose the Location

I want the place to be yours — a café you visit, a park you walk in, a city street you love. When you're comfortable, the shots feel warmer.

I love variety — 2–3 spots in one location give different frames and moods. City — streets, balconies. Nature — forest, field, waterfront. Interior — cozy café, bookstore, your apartment.

Light — we plan for either morning or golden hour. In the heat, I look for shady spots.

Outfits

I recommend harmony, not matching — coordinating colors and styles. One in light, the other in dark. Or both in neutrals with one accent color. I'm always happy to help with choosing.

Comfort — you'll hug, move, maybe sit on the grass. Clothes shouldn't restrict you.

1–2 changes per shoot — different vibe gives different shots.

Mood and Connection

A love story lives from the connection between you. I don't need you to "act in love" — just be yourselves. Joke, embrace, whisper to each other. I'll suggest moments and angles, but the spark is yours. My job is not to interfere and to capture.

The best shots are the ones where it's clear you're really together. Where I don't see the camera — I see you.

I love when couples leave after a shoot with a smile and say: "We didn't even notice how fast the time went." That means it worked.
